About Us
The demand for petroleum products will soon cross the supply
line, and the cost of adding to that supply has become very high.
In the United States, the upward price curve will flutter a
bit because of hurricanes, pre-election subsidies, and price
manipulation by suppliers, but its mid-line will continue upward.
The shrunken supply will be essential for air travel, for military
preparedness, and for critical byproducts.
It behooves us, as citizens, direct consumers of 21% of that
petroleum, indirect consumers of much more through our purchase
of vehicles and other hard goods, to save energy, to cut back
on the petroleum imports.
PopularEnergyNews describes ways to do this,
and to save a lot of money in the process.
The author is Francis Killorin, of Plymouth, MA. Frank
is a Mechanical Engineer with thirty years experience in construction
and Energy Conservation.
When the “first” energy crisis hit in the 70s, he
started to study, and then to teach Energy Conservation and Solar
Energy. He modified his home for solar input, then developed
the Aquatherm Solar Water Heater, patent #4232657, and sold hundreds
through a dealer network.
By 1982, he had concentrated on contracts for Energy Audits
in homes and multi-unit buildings.
